Stan Heath has grabbed another non-conference game against a high major school as the USF Bulls and the Oklahoma State Cowboys agreed to a home and home series starting this year. Jeff Goodman of CBSSports.com was the first to report the series on his Top 55 non-conference games (which USF-OSU checks in at #42) and Greg Auman confirmed the return game to Tampa in 2013.
The Cowboys were 15-18 last year, going 7-11 in the Big XII. Some might think this was a poor year for the Pokes, but injuries and transfers left OSU with only six scholarship players by the end of the season. They lose leading scorer Keiton Page, but return four starters led by 6'7" wing Le'Bryan Nash. Head Coach Travis Ford also has a solid recruiting class coming to Stillwater led by McDonald's All-American SG Marcus Smart.
All in all, its another quality non-conference game in the midwest, where we've done well over the last few years recruiting wise (JAWANZA!, Anthony Collons, Zach LeDay), and it should be a pretty cordial affai...wait, Doug Gottlieb went to Oklahoma State? Oh this is going to be fun in December.
