Preseason 2012 BlogPoll Top 25 Draft

Once again we have been invited to participate in the BlogPoll Top 25, a weekly college football ranking administered by Andy Hutchins of Alligator Army, and voted on by dozens of popular college sports blog on SB Nation and around the Internet.

Every week (hopefully) we will present a draft of our Top 25 for your review, input, and critiques. Then on Monday night, I'll make our final ballot submission to be included in the poll, and post it here Tuesday morning. OK? OK.

For the last couple of years we've treated our BlogPoll ballot like a miniature AP poll, where everyone makes their own top 25. Then we add the votes together and the 25 schools with the most points make our final ballot. Since I'm waiting on everyone else's submissions, there's a good chance our final ballot will look quite a bit different from this one, but at least you can see what I'm thinking.

This is the toughest poll of the year to fill out, with nothing to go on but preseason hype and projections. It's pretty clear who the best 10-11 teams are in some general order, and from there I have certain teams I'm high on (Louisville, Utah, anyone in the Big XII that wears purple) and others I'm more skeptical of (Arkansas, Stanford, anyone in the Big XII that wears orange).

I couldn't bring myself to rank USF and probably won't unless they start out 4-0. But they're in a collection of teams I thought about ranking, along with Florida, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Washington, and Auburn. If you have any thoughts, let us know in the comments.
