USF Basketball Mixology Returns, Because These Big East Tournament Shorts Are Amazing

In an emergency edition of USF Basketball Mixology, we provide you with some suggestions to match the Bulls' spectacular uniforms for the Big East tournament.

THESE SHORTS.
THESE SHORTS.

(DISCLAIMER: Enjoy responsibly. 21 means 21. Don't drink and drive.)

Last year, we and a few of our friends came up with 36 different drinks to mark every game USF's basketball team played, beginning with Vermont in November and going straight through to the third round of the NCAA Tournament. After that, we thought USF Basketball Mixology was over. What could possibly give us a reason to come up with more drinks?

Well... these:

This is a bonus edition of USF Basketball Mixology to honor the Bulls' fantastic Big East tournament shorts, which look like they came straight out of the 1983 Ocean Pacific catalog. (At least they're not nut-huggers. Some things should stay retro.) Since we're only doing this once, we're going to offer you three different recipe options, depending on how much you want to open up the throttle. If you like having a job and money and a family and a clean arrest record, though, stick with the first one. Here we go.

SANE OPTION

Midori Lemonade

Midorilemonade_medium

- 1 part Midori melon liqueur
- 2 parts lemonade (any lemonade will do, as long as there's not too much sugar)

Mix together Midori and lemonade to taste and serve.

DON'T SAY WE DIDN'T WARN YOU OPTION

Limey (as sampled by yours truly at Stillwater's Copper Penny earlier this season, and reverse engineered by the OrangePower.com community)

Drinking more than one of these is highly discouraged. I only had one, in case my parents or any prospective employers are reading this.

First, take your nearest 32-ounce USF plastic souvenir cup and fill it halfway with ice. Then add:

- 6 ounces vodka
- 1 can Sprite (12 ounces)
- 2 ounces sweet and sour
- 1 ounce triple sec
- 1 ounce sweetened lime juice

Garnish with a lime and serve.

HEY, IT'S YOUR FUNERAL OPTION
