Mike White's forearm is not as bad as the staff originally thought, so he may play this Saturday against NC State. He is practicing this week, along with Steven Bench and Quinton Flowers. No matter how this quarterback situation develops in the next few days, it should be pretty interesting. Andre Davis (sternum) is still day to day. Thor Jozwiak (shoulder) is probably still out for Saturday, but Taggart said he has been improving faster than expected.
Also, I learned today that Nigel Harris bleaches part of his hair as a tribute to Wiz Khalifa, one of his favorite rappers. And he apparently had straight A's all through his time at Hillsborough High School. Harris forced two fumbles against Maryland and added a sack and a tackle for loss to become the AAC defensive player of the week.
Rodney Adams is excited about this season as he continues to showcase his speed and agility on the field as USF's leading receiver. He said that playing at USF is a lot more fun this year because the players care more than they used to. You may remember him from the Maryland game with his nifty end-around that gained eleven yards. He also posted receptions of 26, 16 and seven yards.
I said "redshirt" regarding Quinton Flowers and Willie Taggart cringed in response. He said that Flowers has been getting a lot of reps every week and that he wants to get Flowers on the field this year. There have been plans to get him into both games so far, but things haven't worked out for that to happen. Also, he seemed proud of the Bulls' effort against Maryland and happy with the progress that the team has made so far. To Twitter for a roundup of the best stuff:
