Hours before the first exhibition of the 2017 season, Evelyne Viens was selected by the AAC coaches as the Preseason Offensive Player of the Year, as well as unanimously selected to the preseason all-conference team.

The sophomore’s prowess at the front of the USF attack earned her AAC Rookie of the Year in 2016, as well as tying the school record for goals in a season with 16 during her freshman year. Sophomore Andrea Hauksdottir was also named to the Preseason All-Conference team.

The USF women play their first of three exhibitions tonight at 7:00 at Corbett vs FGCU. Make a point to come watch Viens this season, as there's a decent chance she’s going to re-write the record books.
