#18 S Jaymon Thomas - Senior, 6’3”, 193 lbs.

2017: Thomas played in all 12 games and started nine, racking up 44 tackles, three pass breakups, and an interception. He was named to the Wuerffel Trophy Award Watch List for his 3.48 grade point average and community service work.

2016: Thomas played in all 13 games, but only started four. He still recorded 55 tackles, good for fifth on the team, and led all defensive backs with five TFL. Jaymon had two sacks, against UConn and South Carolina, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries. He also recovered an onside kick against C.

2015: Jaymon played in six games as a true freshman and made all seven of his tackles against Florida A&M (two) and C. (five).

How He Came To USF: Jaymon played at Immokalee High School, along with USF teammates D’Ernest Johnson, Deadrin Senat, and Jimmy Bayes. He broke out as a senior with 124 tackles, two forced fumbles, two blocked kicks, and an interception he returned 64 yards for a touchdown. Being such a late bloomer, Jaymon didn’t have too many offers, and chose USF over Illinois and Navy.

Recruiting Rankings: Jaymon was a two-star recruit at 247, Rivals, and Scout. ESPN did not give a rating.
