#20 USF Men’s Golf Takes their #SpringOfRings Tour to Kissimmee For NCAA Regional as Four Seed

The four-time defending AAC Champions don’t have to travel far.

Reunion Resort

Fresh off claiming their fourth-straight AAC championship, the USFmen’s golf team will head to Kissimmee as the four-seed in the NCAA Regionals at Reunion Resort’s Watson Course.

Led by senior Claudio Correa, who is participating in his third consecutive NCAA tournament as a Bull, who claimed the individual AAC tournament trophy with a three stroke win over teammate Christian DiMarco, will look to get back to the NCAA Championships since 2016.

He will team up with seniors Jimmy Jones (two NCAA appearances), DiMarco (three NCAA appearances), Priyanshu Singh (two NCAA appearances), and sophomore Kyle Flexsenhar (first NCAA appearance) as USF tries to make it to the NCAA Championships for the third time in four years.

USF failed to make it out of the LSU regional last season and head coach Steve Bradley said that failure has fueled the Bulls this season.

LSU’s regional last year and not getting through was extremely painful. I also think it was a good learning lesson for the guys and good motivation they’ve used this year. I think it’s a taste they don’t want to taste again coming out of this region. I would expect us to handle ourselves a lot better than we did at LSU last year.

The top five teams from each of the six regions will move on after 54 holes of play for the chance at the title. Joining the Bulls in the Kissimmee region are hosts and 10-seed C., One-seed Vanderbilt, two-seed UF, three-seed UNC. Arizona (#6), Colorado St. (#8), St. Mary’s (#9) all travel through multiple time zones to play in Kissimmee.

The National Championships will take place May 25-30 at Karsten Creek Golf Club in Stillwater, Okla.
