USF and UF will square off in football for the first time since 2010.
The two in-state foes announced a three-game series on Tuesday. The first game will be in 2022 in Gainesville, the second will be in 2023 in Tampa, and the last will be in 2025 back in Gainesville.

A STRONG schedule addition

The last time the Bulls traveled to Gainesville (ed. note: the hottest football game in the history of mankind) the #8 ranked Gators defeated USF 38-14 where SUPER BOWL CHAMPION B.J. Daniels threw for 84 yards and rushed for 107, but four interceptions cost the Bulls and the Gators ran away with it in the third quarter.
Once the Gators canceled their return trip after the 2010 game, it was just assumed the Bulls wouldn’t play UF again.
This is a huge opportunity for Athletic Director Mark Harlan, head coach Charlie Strong, and the school to showcase USF nationally.
In 2022, the Bulls are scheduled to face Texas at home, UF on the road, as well as Louisville on the road.
USF’s game versus FAU in 2022 will be rescheduled at a future date.
Add UF to the list of quality opponents on the schedule in the next couple of years including Georgia Tech (2018 & 2019), N.C. State (2021 & 2024), Louisville (2022, 2024 & 2026), Texas (2020, 2022, & 2024), Illinois (2018), and Wisconsin (2019).
