USF received some good news in the form of a verbal commitment from DeLand outside linebacker Demaurez Bellamy on Tuesday, bringing the number of current #GreenBreed19 verbal commits up to two.
The Bulls picked up a verbal commit from three-star Riverview safety T.J. Robinson back in March right before both Tallahassee Lincoln tight end Kamari Morales and St. Pete Gibbs cornerback La’Darius Henry decided to decommit.

LB Demaurez Bellamy
5’10”, 210 pounds
DeLand High School, DeLand, FL
Recruiting Ratings: Listed as a two-star by Rivals.
Other Notable Offers: FAU, Marshall, Rutgers.
Excelling at both linebacker and running back, Bellamy helped guide Mainland to a District 6A-13 title last fall and a trip to the second-round of the state playoffs. In January, he officially transferred to DeLand.
While listed as an athlete for his two-way ability, the 386-product would potentially offer depth to a Bulls linebacking group that will desperately need it in coming years.
From his Hudl video below, he mostly lined as Mainland’s strong side backer in the 4-2-5, using his speed to fly to ball carriers either at the line of scrimmage or in the backfield. You could imagine that this is exactly what defensive coordinator/LB coach Brian Jean-Mary is looking for.
Is time to tweet at croots?
