#59 LB Andrew Mims - Redshirt Freshman, 6’1”, 229 pounds

2017: Redshirted as a freshman but did make the AAC All-Academic Team.

How he came to USF: Andrew came to USF from Jacksonville Bartram Trail, where he racked up 148 career tackles (11 for loss), three sacks and two interceptions. He was named to the Class 7A All-State Second Team as a senior. Considering he wasn’t included in the 2017 recruiting class, we assume he’s a walk-on.
