QB/ATH Jahquez Evans
6’2”, 180 pounds
Mays High School, Atlanta, GA
Recruiting Rankings: Listed as a three-star by 247 and Rivals. 0.8333 Composite Score by 247.
Other Notable Offers: Georgia Tech, Kentucky, West Virginia, Pitt, Missouri
Displaying his athleticism by playing a little bit of wide receiver and defensive back at Mays, Evans exploded as the Raiders’ QB last fall, leading them to the Class AAAAAA quarterfinals before falling to eventual state champion Lee County.
One of his more brilliant performances came in the second-round of the postseason, where he threw for five touchdowns and ran for one in a thrilling 48-41 shootout victory over Centennial.
As a dual-threat QB prospect, his ability to look upfield and take advantage whenever he sees a sliver of open space is something that has fit the mold of USF QB’s in the pat.
Evans becomes the second Mays prospect in two years to verbally commit to Strong’s program after former teammate Antonio Grier Jr. signed on with #Stampede18. He also becomes the second ATL QB prospect in as many years to align himself with the Bulls after 2018 signee Octavious Battle out of Carver.
Is time to tweet at croots?
