How he came to USF: The linebacker from Lauderhill served as a team captain of Cardinal Gibbons High School for three seasons on his prep career. During his senior campaign, Small recorded 76 tackles three forced fumbles, and an interception on defense while also rushing for 165 yards and four touchdowns on offense.
