The Bulls received the third-highest number of votes among unranked schools in the Coaches, trailing only Kentucky (98) and Duke (55).
They received the seventh-most votes of non-ranked teams in the AP, with their highest ranking coming from Rob Long of 105.7 FM The Fan in Baltimore, who slotted them at No. 21.
C. remained the highest ranked Group of Five program this week by moving up to No. 16 in the AP while staying put at No. 18 in the Coaches. Boise State fell to No. 24 in the Coaches after its 44-21 loss at Oklahoma State and fell out of the AP poll altogether.
We’ll see if a home win over East Carolina in its conference opener this Saturday will be enough for USF to crack the top 25 of one of these polls next week.
