After matching last year’s win total with a 60-54 victory over Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday, the USF men’s basketball team closes a three-game homestand and opens up American Athletic Conference play tonight against UConn.
Winners of six straight for the first time since 2007, the Bulls are led by redshirt freshman Alexis Yetna who ranks first in the AAC and 19th in the NCAA with six double-doubles.
The Paris, France native enters play Wednesday night against averaging 13.5 points and 14.5 rebounds while shooting 56.8 percent from the field over his last four games.
UConn is coming off an 81-58 blowout loss to defending national champion Villanova back on December 22.
The Huskies are fueled by AAC Preseason Player of the Year Jalen Adams, who is their leading-scorer and ranks sixth in the league with 16.6 points per game.
