We’re halfway through the season, so let’s revisit some of the Futures Bets we made.
The most popular category was over/under win totals, so let’s look at that first. Next week, we’ll go over the other bet types.
Using some advanced metrics that predict wins for the reason of the season, here’s how I would categorize the bets people made before the season:

My Reply Is No
- UCLA to win more than 5.5 games at -135
- Navy to win fewer than 5.0 games at +110
These only the teams where there was no disagreement. Central Florida (9.5 wins), Memphis (9.5 wins), Houston (7 wins), and Connecticut (2.5 wins) had our players on different sides of the fence. UCF and Memphis are both very up in the air. Houston doesn’t look like a 7-win team, which is good news for HerdCountry941 (would win $28), and bad news for camweed12 (would lose $15). UConn has a game against UMass, who - no kidding - might actually be worse than UConn. But they’d still need one more win to make the over, and there’s no obvious candidate for it. E-Dogg42 wins $30 if they make it to 3-9, while camweed12 would win $3.57 if they are 2-10 or worse.

As you can see, we already have some winners, led by LrdNorman who won a Sun Belt parlay for $78 fake dollars. E-Dogg42 lost a bigger win by half a point on the UCLA-Stanford game, when Stanford went for two late and didn’t make it. Tough beat there.
