The South Florida Bulls will attempt to get over .500 for the first time in 2019 today when they face Navy inside Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis. The Bulls had some success against Navy’s triple option attack in 2016, but that was an entirely different staff, and the this staff gave up over 600 yards to Georgia Tech last season.

Gap integrity, sound tackling, and taking advantage of the limited offensive possessions will be vital for the Bulls. USF cannot chase points early and expect to have enough time to make a comeback against a very good Navy team.

With senior quarterback Blake Barnett done for the season, redshirt freshman quarterback Jordan McCloud will be the guy moving forward. McCloud is dealing with wrist and shoulder injuries of his own so expect a high dose of senior running backs Jordan Cronkrite and Trevon Sands today. The duo has accounted for over 400 yards rushing combined over the last two weeks at UConn and BYU. If Cronk gets 25+ carries, this could be a good day for the Bulls.

If you’re not in Annapolis, come hang out here!
