The Daily Stampede has learned that South Florida Bulls senior running backs Jordan Cronkrite and Trevon Sands will miss tomorrow’s game versus the Memphis Tigers, according to sources.
I’m hearing #USF RB Jordan Cronkrite (precautionary) and Trevon Sands (shoulder) will NOT play tomorrow versus Memphis. #USF officials did not wish to comment. “There’s a reason we have closed practices so there are no injury reports.”

Cronkrite and Sands are both dealing with injuries that are serious enough to hold them out of their final home game of their college careers.
Cronkrite is the Bulls leading rusher with 687 yards and four touchdowns on the ground in 2019. He’s also added 15 receptions for 134 yards. After a slow start to the season, Cronkrite ripped off three 100-yard rushing days in October against UConn, BYU, and ECU.
Sands finally earned more playing time as a running back this season and was able to take advantage of it, scoring his first career touchdown against UConn, and he added another last week versus Cincinnati. For the season, Sands has 207 yards on the ground on 49 carries.
Expect to see a large dose of Kelley Joiner, Jr tomorrow in their place. Joiner has shown explosiveness in his limited time this year rushing for 226 yards on 45 carries, and adding another 79 yards on six catches.
USF should get a boost by the return of Jah’Quez Evans after missing the last two games due to a concussion.
If there was ever a day to reinstate Johnny Ford...[Ed. Note: Very likely not happening.]
