Huge news for the South Florida Bulls tonight. Sophomore running back Johnny Ford will play tonight against the Central Florida Golden Knights, Spectrum Sports’ Chris Torello reports.

Ford was suspended indefinitely prior to the UConn game in October due to an undisclosed violation of team rules. #WarOnI4 #UCFvsUSF @BN9 @MyNews13 @SpecSports360
The Daily Stampede has been able to confirm the same report.
Ford has played in three games, but has been suspended since early October due to a violation of team rules.
In his three games (Georgia Tech,SC State, and SMU) he compiled 13 catches for 149 yards and two touchdowns. He also added 45 yards and a score on the ground in those three games.
With Ford only playing in three games prior to tonight, he’s still eligible to redshirt this season and have three more years left to play. [Ed. Note: Did Charlie just Galaxy Brain all of us?]
Offensive coordinator Kerwin Bell, and quarterback Jordan McCloud may be happier than Ford himself for his return. It’s clear in just the three games he played that the sophomore from Miami was one of the only players to be able to consistently beat man coverage.
