On the “head coaching odds board” thread, Undercoverbull asked if I would add these odds to the Protect Your Unit game. Truth is, I’d really like to, but I don’t want to change the rules mid-season. Everyone put in 15 weeks of betting; I’d hate for the winner to be decided by a bet on Rich Bisaccia.
Personally, I think Willie Taggart at +1200 is extremely soft, especially now that both parties have had talks. Not a 100% chance he gets the job, but definitely more than an 8.5% chance. Personally, I’d put $100 on Taggart and $250 on Field as a hedge.
What I may do for next season is expand the Futures betting rules, so as to allow in-season prop bets. They’ll be available but limited, just as they were this season with the $100 limit.
Okay, on to this week’s business. There are 10 conference championship games, plus Army-Navy next weekend. These are all considered part of Week 15, so the week won’t roll over on Sunday. I will post a brief update Monday morning, and then Week 15 will continue with just the one game left on the schedule.
Important things to remember:
- Your weekly bankroll will not be restored after the December 7 games. You may want to save some bankroll to play Army-Navy.
- The usual betting requirements apply: three plays including one involving an AAC team.
- The AAC championship game and Army-Navy are your only choices to fulfill that second requirement.
- You may take a bye week in Week 15, if you have not already done so this season. You will not be able to take a bye on bowl season.
