The South Florida Bulls football team will begin their first of 15 spring practices on March 19, the school announced today, with the annual spring game being held April 13 at 1 p.m. at Corbett Stadium.
The Bulls will look to put their six game losing streak to end the 2018 season behind them and will do so with five new coaches on staff to help in the turnaround. New offensive coordinator Kerwin Bell, offensive line coach Jeremy Darveau, defensive line coach Paul Spicer, defensive backs coach Steve Ellis, and safeties coach Bryan Hill all take over positions that struggled under their former coaches in 2018.
Bell will look to install his up-tempo offense and identity with nine returning starters, including all five offensive linemen, QB Blake Barnett, running backs Jordan Cronkrite and Johnny Ford, WR Randall St. Felix, and TE Mitch Wilcox.
Bell will be without Cronkrite for the beginning of spring and possibly the entirety of the 15 practices after he underwent surgery yesterday on an undisclosed ailment, TDS has learned.
Fans will be able to enjoy a street festival before the game that begins at 11 a.m.
