We’ve Received the New USF Football Assistants Coaches Memorandum of Understanding’s, Full Contracts Not Available Yet

The Daily Stampede has learned the terms of these contracts.

Through Florida’s Freedom of Information Act, The Daily Stampede has acquired the contract details for the new South Florida Bulls coordinators including CB Coach Steve Ellis, S Coach Bryan Hill, DL Coach Paul Spicer, and OL Coach Jeremy Darveau.

CB Coach Steve Ellis: Two-years, $430,000 ($215,000 per year)

Steve Ellis came on board after spending 10 seasons at Middle Tennessee State University, where he was also the recruiting coordinator from 2015-2018.

Safeties Coach Bryan Hill: One year, $110,000

Bryan Hill was promoted from defensive quality control to safeties coach. prior to USF, Hill was a graduate assistant at Texas for linebackers and defensive backs.

DL Coach Paul Spicer: Two-Years, $480,000 ($240,000 per year)

Paul Spicer will make the quick drive from One Buc Place to Fowler Avenue. Prior to his hiring, he was the assistant defensive line coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he coached former USF star Jason Pierre-Paul.

OL Coach Jeremy Darveau: Two-Years, $360,000 ($180,000 per year)

Jeremy Darveau was a notable name to come over with Kerwin Bell from Valdosta State. His unit at VSU helped lead the way for the highest scoring offense in Division II last year with 52.0 points per game.

As of right now, we have not learned any buyout terms for these four coaches.

We are awaiting the contract details for Kade Bell, as well as any raises and extensions for Shaun King, Brian Jean-Mary, Charlie Williams, Sean Cronin, and Justin Burke.
