#BayMade cornerback K.J. Sails is coming home.

The former North Carolina Tar Heel and four-star recruit out of East Bay High School has announced his intention to transfer to the South Florida Bulls, picking the Bulls over FAU and Miami. He put his name in the transfer portal earlier in March after the UNC coaching staff got fired and two family members passed away in February.

247sports reported:

Sails played in 19 games over his last three seasons with the Tar Heels, starting 14 games. He played four games in 2018, recording eight tackles and two pass breakups before suffering a season-ending injury. In 2017, he started the final 11 games and recorded 30 tackles and nine pass breakups.

The Tampa native is looking for a fresh start. Heavily recruited out of East Bay, 247sports called him a four-star and the 28th CB in the 2016 recruiting class. He committed to North Carolina over the likes of Penn State, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Cincinnati.

It is believed that Sails is a redshirt junior after only playing four games in 2018.
