The University of South Florida Bulls football games will be broadcast on 620 WDAE (95.3 FM) throughout the 2019 season, USF Vice President of Athletics Michael Kelly and iHeartMedia & Entertainment Market President Chris Soectig announced today on The Pat and Aaron Show inside the iHeartRadio station in Tampa.

From the release:

“We are very excited to be partnering with one of the most widely listened to sports stations in the state to bring USF football games to our fans and expand our groundbreaking digital platform,” Vice President of Athletics Michael Kelly said. “WDAE is synonymous with sports in the Bay area and we look forward to a tremendous partnership that will continue to expand the USF brand and help connect more fans with the excitement of our Bulls sports teams.”

The Bulls’ games will also be available to stream via the Bulls Unlimited channel on the IHeartRadio app, which is free to download.

WDAE has been the longtime home for Tampa Bay Rays baseball broadcasts and in the event there is a conflict, USF games will move over to 1250 AM, while still being available on Bulls Unlimited. The season-opener versus Wisconsin will be on 1250 AM.

The first game broadcast on 95.3 FM/620 AM will be the week two contest against Georgia Tech at 2 p.m.

With the announcement today, WDAE will no longer carry University of Florida football games.

WDAE will also broadcast the USF Football Radio Show on a weekly basis throughout the season as well as the last hour of the pregame show and a 30-minute post-game show during football game broadcasts. The first hour of the Bulls’ traditional two-hour football pregame show will air exclusively on “Bulls Unlimited.”

The two “Bulls Unlimited” stations on iHeart Radio will continue to carry 24/7 digital streaming of USF Athletics content, including live game broadcasts across several sports and coaches shows. Programing on “Bulls Unlimited” also includes the Bulls Beat daily show, original programming such as Archive Room, Around The American and Upon Further Review, and replays of current season contests and classic games.

Bulls Unlimited will become the primary home for USF men’s and women’s basketball, as well as baseball. WDAE will also carry select postseason games for USF basketball and baseball.

The contract is between Tampa Bay Entertainment Properties and iHeartMedia, therefore the details of the deal will not be disclosed.
