USF senior quarterback Blake Barnett was named to the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award Watch List on Monday, becoming the fifth Bull named to a preseason watch list this offseason.
Named for Louisville and Baltimore Colt legend Johnny Unitas, the Golden Arm Award is given annually to a senior quarterback who is judged not just for their on-field accomplishments, but character, scholastic achievements and leadership qualities as well.

Barnett is looking to make the most of his final season of collegiate eligibility as the Bulls’ starter in a new offense. Arriving to Tampa last season, the Corona, CA, native threw for 2,710 yards and 12 touchdowns before injuries sidelined him late in the year.
The USF signal-caller joins Tulane’s Justin McMillan, Memphis’ Brady White, C.’s Brandon Wimbush, and Temple’s Anthony Russo as the AAC representatives on the list.
