Fresh off their first win and bye week of the season, the South Florida Bulls open AAC play versus the SMU Mustangs, possibly the biggest surprise of the season. The ‘Stangs are 4-0 and knocked off #25 TCU last week 41-38 on the road.

SMU is led by former Texas quarterback Shane Buechele who has thrown for over 1,000 yards while completing 66.7% of his passes so far this year. Running back Xavier Jones has rushed for a team-high eight touchdowns, while wide receivers Reggie Roberson Jr., and James Proche have combined for 52 catches for 744 yards and five scores through four games.

Cornerbacks Mike Hampton and K.J. Sails will have their hands full today trying to stop that dynamic duo. SMU likes to take their shots downfield so the Bulls secondary cannot be out of position or they will give up multiple big plays throughout the game.

Offensively for the Bulls, redshirt freshman Jordan McCloud will look to build off his fantastic starting debut versus South Carolina State. Running back Jordan Cronkrite will look to get on track versus a team allowing opposing rushers to gain just 4.1 yards per carry in 2019.

Come chat with us as the Bulls look to go 1-0 in conference play and even their record to 2-2.
