Another week of our recruiting roundup where we check in with a handful of prospects from USF football’s 2020 class.

NCAA Football: Wisconsin at South Florida Douglas DeFelice-USA TODAY Sports

We’re back with Week 2 of our weekly recruiting roundup, where every week we drop in a handful of USF’s Class of 2020 prospects and see how they’re doing during their senior seasons in high school.

Wauchula Hardee OT Evan Webster

The newest member of the #20Strong class, three-star Hardee OT Evan Webster, committed to the Bulls on Saturday.

So far, his Wildcats are 1-1 on the year. They began the season with a 34-0 beatdown of Fort Meade before falling 21-14 at Port Charlotte last week. Hardee will have this Friday off before hosting North Marion on Sep. 13.

There’s no highlights of the tackle from this season so far, so here’s his Hudl reel from last season.

Tampa Gaither LB Chance Coleman

We move to Tampa where hometown prospect Chance Coleman and his Gaither Cowboys are off to a quick 2-0 start to the season. They opened the season with a 36-14 victory over Jefferson before sneaking past Plant 35-28 in their home opener last Friday.

Coleman, the first #20Strong prospect, has 11 tackles and a sack through two outings. He also has a rushing touchdown on offense.

Gaither will head to Plant City this Friday.

Sarasota RB Brian Battie

Through two games, running back Brian Battie and his Sarasota Sailors have left a path of destruction with a pair of shutouts against Bayshore (51-0) and North Port (43-0).

The future Bull has so far racked up 249 yards on 19 carries (13.1 ypc) and two touchdowns on the ground along with two receptions for 26 yards through the air and a blocked punt on special teams.

Sarasota will head to Lemon Bay this Friday.

Gainesville DT Gentle Hunt

Despite his Hurricanes getting off to a tough 0-2 start, defensive tackle Gentle Hunt has had himself a productive start to his senior year.

The Gainesville product has a team-high 20 tackles, four TFLs, 10 QB hurries, two sacks and a blocked field goal through just two games this season. Following an open date this week, Hunt and the Hurricanes will travel up to Orange Park to face Oakleaf on Sep. 13.

Port Orange Atlantic LB Ty Berrong

Three-star linebacker Ty Berrong and Atlantic Sharks took a bite out of Moore Haven in their season opener on Aug. 23, winning 41-6. After taking last week off, they’ll return to action this Saturday when going toe-to-toe with Seabreeze (Hurricane Dorian permitting of course).

Here’s a few highlights of the defensive prospect bodying Moore Haven players.
