After being drafted as the fifth overall pick in the 2020 NWSL draft for Sky Blue FC, USF women’s soccer alum Evelyne Viens was loaned out to Paris FC to help gain experience in the professional soccer world. As a surprise to absolutely nobody, she showed up big time for Paris FC, scoring a hat trick in her first start for the club.

After making her professional debut for Sky Blue FC in June during the NWSL Challenge Cup, Viens scored her first professional goal in a losing effort against the Chicago Red Stars in the semi-final match for the Challenge Cup. Shortly thereafter, she was loaned out to Paris FC, a mid-tier club in the suburbs of Paris.
On the season, Viens has played in all five matches for Paris FC, leading the club in goals scored with four and registering 248 minutes played. Today, against Issy, she cracked the starting lineup and gathered a hat trick in less than 15 minutes between the 44th minute, and the 57th minute. The sequence was eerily similar to her last hat trick against UF in the NCAA tournament, where she scored in the 43rd, the 50th, and the 55th minute to lift USF past the Gators and into the second round of the NCAA tournament.
Paris FC, who currently sits 5th in the Division 1 Féminine, has their next game against Fleury 91 on October 17th where Viens should continue to be the starting Striker.
