This may be the most winnable game left on the USF schedule this season as the Bulls welcome in the dreadful Pirates.
This is the third time ECU has been the opponent for USF on homecoming (2014, 2016), and the Bulls have not lost on homecoming since that 2014 meeting with the Pirates.
USF’s defense played well enough to win last week against Cincinnati, but the offense let them down by scoring just seven points. This has been a theme over the last year, and something USF head coach Jeff Scott must address soon.
Gut feeling is Jordan McCloud gets the start for the Bulls as he was the only QB to have any success last week moving the ball offensively.
McCloud was 9-for-12 for 102 yards, two touchdowns, and added 49 yards on the ground in last year’s win in Greenville. The Bulls should be able to have plenty of success running the ball today against an awful ECU defense who’s allowing 50 PPG through their first two games.
Let’s hang out, have fun, and enjoy this game.
