Cancellation-weakened parlay wins have been a major story this season. Cancelled bets within parlays prevent larger playoffs from happening, but they also turn what could have been losses into smaller wins. Just this week, we had eight parlay wins that included one or more cancellations. Overall, I’m not sure if this helps or hurts our gamblers as a whole. If anyone has ideas on how to analyze it, feel free to suggest them in the comments.

As you can see from the standings, a lot of people gained this week:

The big story this week was ElliotMoore and E-dogg42 both having very strong weeks, and moving closer to the two leaders. speruche lost about 305 units less than bullsonparade96, so he gets a little closer to the lead. Danj725 and LrdNorman got into the black. ulhothot moved up the table, and could have won another 750 units (600 won, 150 not lost) if he hadn’t bet on Central Florida to cover. Come on, dude, we all know USF was going to score 46 points and threaten to actually win that game. (NOTE: This is sarcasm.)

The number of cancellations this past week was 16. 19 games were cancelled, and 3 new games were created. The newly-created games really made a difference, because the over/under was 18.5 most of the week. The improvised games - Vanderbilt-Missouri, Utah-Washington, and San Diego State-Colorado - pushed the result under. Also, the last three cancellations didn’t come in until Saturday.

The Week 14 schedule consists of 55 scheduled games:

Louisiana Tech at North Texas Air Force at Utah State Louisiana at Appalachian State
Western Kentucky at Charlotte Washington State at Southern California Boise State at Nevada-Las Vegas
Ohio State at Michigan State Kent State at Miami (OH) Toledo at Northern Illinois
Florida International at Charlotte Rice at Marshall Memphis at Tulane
Eastern Michigan at Western Michigan Bowling Green State at Akron Troy at South Alabama
Syracuse at Notre Dame Louisiana-Monroe at Arkansas State Indiana at Wisconsin
Maryland at Michigan Buffalo at Ohio Hawaii at San Jose State
Florida Atlantic at Georgia Southern Colorado State at San Diego State Alabama at Louisiana State
Wyoming at New Mexico Northwestern at Minnesota Texas at Kansas State
West Virginia at Iowa State Florida at Tennessee South Carolina at Kentucky
Texas A&M at Auburn Vanderbilt at Georgia Liberty at Coastal Carolina
Iowa at Illinois Nebraska at Purdue Penn State at Rutgers
Kansas at Texas Tech Fresno State at Nevada Colorado at Arizona
Oregon at California Oregon State at Utah Stanford at Washington
UCLA at Arizona State Ball State at Central Michigan Western Carolina at North Carolina
Houston at Southern Methodist Tulsa at Navy Oklahoma State at Texas Christian
Baylor at Oklahoma Arkansas at Missouri Florida State at Duke
Clemson at Virginia Tech Boston College at Virginia Georgia Tech at North Carolina State
Middle Tennessee State at Alabama-Birmingham

The cancellations bet will be offered again. Miami-Wake Forest and Southern Miss-UTEP were both cancelled before the week started, so these will not count as a cancelled game. The UAB-MTSU game was added late Sunday, just before this list was published. It will count as a cancellation if cancelled, but not as an added game. The Tuesday morning WKU-Charlotte game, which was moved from last Saturday, will count if it’s cancelled again. Charlotte actually has two games this week; they also play FIU on Saturday.

There are only three AAC games this week. USF, Central Florida. Cincinnati, Temple, and East Carolina are all off, unless one or more of them improvises a game. Memphis-Tulane, Tulsa-Navy, and Houston-SMU are your options.

It appears that there will be three more “regular season” weeks - the Saturdays of December 5, 12, and 19 - followed immediately by bowl season. There will probably be some overlap, because the Frisco Bowl is scheduled for December 19, which is also the day of conference championship games and several regular season games. I am planning to allow this one game to count towards both the Week 16 and bowl season requirements. Since it will also involve an AAC team, it could be quite useful towards meeting minimum bet requirements.

Week 14 lines are being posted now!
