Welcome to Week 10!
Weeknight football debuted this week with Wednesday night MACtion, and some big bets are already in place for Saturday. So there’s a lot to talk about already:
- We are at
NINETEN cancellations already: Tulsa-Navy, Wisconsin-Purdue, Virginia-Louisville, California-Washington, FIU-UTEP, Louisiana Tech-North Texas, Charlotte-Middle Tennessee, and UTSA-Rice. Conference USA games have been dropping like flies; I’m not sure how they’re going to complete a season at this point. (ETA: Utah-Arizona was cancelled late Friday afternoon.) - The over-under on cancellations this week is now 10.5.
- If you bet on Tulsa-Navy to meet the “1 AAC bet” requirement, it still counts towards that.
- E-dogg42 has already won three MAC parlays, for $101.40 fake dollars.
- McIntyre2K7 made his last chance bet on Memphis -17.5 to cover vs. USF. If it wins, he gets another $500 bankroll.
- Bullsonparade96 has made a huge bet on Maryland to beat Penn State outright. It’s worth $3,224 of fake money if the Terps win. By the way, he previously won his last chance bet, so this would be the first time a winner of a last-chance bet vaulted into serious contention. Remember that such a player still down $1,000 for the season, and the standings will reflect that.
- New Mexico State has scheduled two football games for the spring. Other FCS teams, like UConn, may do so as well. I intend to end the PYU season after the national championship game, and ignore any such games that occur after that, unless there becomes a large number of them for some reason.
