NCAA Football: Cincinnati at South Florida Reinhold Matay-USA TODAY Sports

University of South Florida kicker (and speed demon) Spencer Shrader earned AAC Special Teams Player of the Week after he went 4-for-4 on field goals against the Memphis Tigers on Saturday.

All four fields goals were over 40 yards, it’s the first time at USF kicker has nailed four from 40+ in a game. Shrader’s 49-yard field goal in the first quarter was the first FG from 40+ yards by USF since the season opener versus Elon in 2018.

Shrader became just the four Bull to connect on four field goals in a game.

It was around this time last year (November 16, 2019) that Shrader missed four field goals versus Cincinnati, including a go-ahead field goal with two minutes left in the game.

Kicking has been an issue ever since Emilio Nadelman graduated so it was nice to see some consistency from the kicking game in a major way.

The Bulls travel to Houston on Saturday. The game is set for 3 p.m. on ESPN+. Click this link to sign up for ESPN+. You’re gonna need it.
