The South Florida Bulls women’s basketball team continued their ascent in the AP Top 25 Poll this week as they checked in at Number 20, tied with the Texas Longhorns.

USF’s game versus Houston on Saturday was postponed due to COVID issues within the Cougars athletic department, so the Bulls had just one game last week, and escaped with a 65-58 win at Memphis to start conference play.

The Bulls knocked off then-number six Mississippi State earlier this year to help boost USF nationally.

Led by guards Elisa Pinzan, Sydni Harvey, and Elena Tsineke, USF will look to move to 5-1 on the year, and remain unbeaten in conference play when they travel to Cincinnati Tuesday to face the Bearcats.

A win for the Bulls would mark the first time ever both the men’s and women’s team won in Cincinnati during the same season. It would also be the first win for the women in Cincinnati since 2018.

The game is set for a 2 p.m. tip on ESPN+.
