According to Ross Dellenger of Sports Illustrated, the 2020 AAC football schedule will include eight conference games, and up to four non-conference games.
NEWS: As many expected, the AAC has approved a 2020 scheduling model of 8 conference games and as many as 4 non-conference games, a source tells @SINow.

The trouble for USF now is trying to find teams to play, as earlier reported in July with USF’s home opener against Bethune-Cookman is canceled, and the matchup against Texas reportedly being canceled a few days ago as well. Now with the Nevada game looming towards cancellation (Nevada’s other non-conference games include home games versus UC Davis and UTEP), there will be three open games for USF to schedule non-conference opponents.

USF is still scheduled to face off against former head coach Willie Taggart and FAU on September 26th, as Conference USA announced they would be keeping their traditional schedule formatting this season amidst the Coronavirus pandemic. We will update this story with the official announcement.
