After leading his Longhorns team to their first ever state playoff appearance and a 7-4 record overall, Jhalin Hobbs decided to stay home and commit to USF. Hobbs becomes the fifth member of the 2021 recruiting cycle from the Tampa Bay Area and joins fellow defensive tackle Desmond Mamudi along the defensive line.

In 2019, Hobbs compiled 36 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, and 4 sacks while wrecking havoc along the defensive line, playing defensive end, defensive tackle, and standing up as an end rusher in some instances. His relentless pursuit to the ball even resulted in him getting an interception off a tipped pass.

Ranked as the no. 90 defensive tackle in the country according to 247sports, he’ll be joining a Bulls progrum that is looking for depth along the defensive line in Glenn Spencer’s “30 Float” defense.
