Joiner rushed for a game-high 87 yards on just eight carries (10.9 YPC), and a touchdown for the Bulls as he showed his athleticism, and speed all night against the Bulldogs. Joiner’s 3-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter was the first career touchdown for the sophomore from Clermont.
Grier had a daunting task facing the triple option, but ended up with a team-high 10 tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble while holding The Citadel out of the end zone all night. Grier has registered double digit tackles in three of his last four games dating back to the November 16 game versus Cincinnati (10 tackles) last season. His career high in tackles is 11, set on Black Friday against C. Florida in 2019.
The Bulls will look to continue this positive momentum as they head up to South Bend to take on Notre Dame on Saturday September 19th at 2:30 EST on USA Network.
