Junior center Michael Durr became the eighth player to transfer out of USF men’s basketball program this season. The exodus began with Luke Anderson transferring before the season had finished, and was followed by David Collins, Xavier Castañeda, Rashun Williams, Madut Akec, Justin Brown, and Alexis Yetna. His announcement to enter the transfer portal means that all four members of the 2018 class are in the portal.

For his career, Durr has steadily improved every season at USF, his freshman season had a 5.7 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. By his junior season, he was averaging 8.8 points and 7.9 rebounds per contest, including back-to-back double-doubles to close out this season against Temple and Wichita State in the AAC tournament. Against the Owls and Shockers, Durr went for 11 points and 13 rebounds, leading to a near upset over the top-seeded Shockers.
As of Wednesday, there had not been an update to the ongoing investigation into the USF men’s basketball progrum, however the team did add two transfers in DJ Patrick from Triton College and Patrick Hines Jr from Denver University.
