The Jaguars took a 3-0 lead in the third inning after back-to-back bloop singles found a home, and 2B Hunter Stokes hit a three-run home run to left field. They added another run in the fourth inning to extend their lead.
USA’s pitching combination of Matt Boswell, and Tyler Perez shutout a very hot USF offense by scattering just four hits combined all game. On the flip side, USF RHP Brad Lord allowed seven hits in five innings, including the home run in the third.
USF lefty Devin Hemenway came in for the Bulls after the game was suspended and struck out a season-high six in three innings to keep the Bulls in the game. RHP Caleb Pundsack pitched a scoreless ninth.
