USF Football Get Ran Through By Temple 54-28

Yeah, we’re done here.

NCAA Football: South Florida at Cincinnati Katie Stratman-USA TODAY Sports

The South Florida Bulls got ran through by the Temple Owls 54-28 on Saturday inside Lincoln Financial Stadium. The Bulls were a 3.5 favorite prior to the game and couldn’t stop a nosebleed.

Temple scored on every single possession today to take control of the game. The Owls had barely averaged over three yards per carry entering the game and finished today at 9.2 yards per carry.

This is an failure by head coach Jeff Scott and his staff that should ultimately cost him his job. The Owls were 2-6 heading into this game and hadn’t shown any sign of life prior to today. But, thank Christ for the USF defense.

Wide receiver Xavier Weaver caught six passes for 116 yards and two scores, and running back Brian Battie finished with 19 carries for 129 yards.

This program is awful. Jeff Scott is not the answer. We’re done here.
