USF Women Beat Bradley 60-50, Remain Unbeaten

Led by Andrea Smith's 24 points, the Bulls go to 3-0 with a win over Bradley.

The USF women's basketball team returned to action on Tuesday night with a win over Bradley, moving to 3-0 on the year after overcoming a sluggish first half and holding over a late charge by the Braves.

Andrea Smith, coming off of the bench, led the Bulls with 24 points and six rebounds. Akila McDonald controlled the paint with seven points, eight rebounds, and four blocked shots. had seven points, four blocks, and eight rebounds as she dominated the paint. Andrell Smith had a career game against Clemson, but cooled off against Bradley, scoring just eight points and missing all five of her three-point attempts. Inga Orekhova had a tough shooting night as well, but added 10 points and five assists.

Shronda Butts had 13 points for Bradley while Kelsey Budd and Jenny Smith each scored 11 points in the loss.

The Bulls will return to action on Friday night at 7:00 as they host North Dakota State and attempt to start the year with four straight wins.
