USF 77, UNC Asheville 29: WBB routs the Bulldogs

The ladies hit the road once again and they didn't disappoint as they beat UNC Asheville 77 to 29.

The ladies put on an offensive performance, shooting 43% from the court as they went on to win tonight by 48 points as they improved to 5-0 on the season.

Andrea Smith led the way once again for the Bulls, scoring 16 points and notching a career high 6 steals (also made the start tonight for the first time this season). Andrell Smith had 13 points and 4 assists. Caitlin Rowe had per best game of the early season adding 10 points and pulling down 6 rebounds. Freshman Courtney Williams had a career night, scoring 16 points, pulling in 7 rebounds, dishing out 4 assists and recording 6 steals.

The Bulls got after on defense tonight, leading to a lot of open looks and the high percentage of shots. USF recorded 24 steals and dished out 20 assists, moving the ball around and never letting up on defense. With those two numbers in the favor of the ladies, the Bulls won this one easily.

The ladies are off to a hot start and will try to make it six in a row as they return home to the Sun Dome to take on UNF on Saturday afternoon at 1PM.
