USF 66, UNF 44: WBB wins sixth straight

The Bulls continued their impressive start to the season as the cruised to the victory today against UNF.

The USF ladies continued their impressive start to the 2012-2013 season as they rolled to a 66 to 44 victory, as the Bulls improved to 6-0.

It was a close game to start with the Bulls leading just 22 to 18 at the break, but the ladies went on a 7 to 0 run to open the second half and never looked back. USF shot just 32% for the game, but they forced 30 turnovers and racked up 15 steals, continuing their pressing and aggressive defense that continues to serve them well.

Courtney Williams had another strong game, scoring 13 points and adding 7 rebounds. Andrell Smith had 13 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Andrea Smith had 7 points (just 1 of 12 shooting) and added 6 rebounds. Inga Orekhova had 9 points and Caitlin Rowe had 8 points and 3 rebounds to round out the balanced scoring effort by the Bulls.

Fabiola Josil had 12 points and 11 rebounds to lead UNF, Raneisha Lamar had 9 points and 8 rebounds.

The Bulls will return to action next Wednesday night in the Sun Dome as they host Florida Gulf Coast University as they try to improve to 7-0. The game begins at 7PM.
