Offensive Lineman Tony Kibler Arrested

Backup offensive lineman Tony Kibler was arrested yesterday morning and charged with two felonies after breaking into a dorm room on campus. Kibler was charged with armed burglary of a dwelling and improper exhibition of a weapon on school grounds along with a misdemeanor count of criminal mischief.

Kibler used a knife to enter the dorm room of a "dissolved relationship" and the woman reported the incident after Kibler made threats to her. In Kibler's arrest report, there is a note for the Baker Act, which keeps Kibler under observation for up to 72 hours. When Adam Adkins asked Lt. Chris Daniel on the note, Daniel could not comment on the matter.

After hearing about the arrest, Skip Holtz indefinitely suspended Kibler from all team activities.

"I have suspended Tony Kibler indefinitely, just for unacceptable behavior. Just need to see where it's going, but right now he won't participate in any type of football-related activities."

If the charges are true, Kibler should to be dismissed from the team as soon as possible. This isn't a DWSL or public intoxication where you get a slap on the wrist. These are two pretty serious felonies, and the way he kept the victim in fear is reprehensible. This isn't the way Skip or anyone at USF wants the university portrayed, and hopefully this can be taken care of as soon as the staff knows the rest of the facts to the case.
