- Alabama and Oklahoma were tied, and Alabama's overall profile trumped Oklahoma's at this point.
- Nebraska, Virginia Tech, and South Carolina all ended up with the same amount of points. Nebraska was ranked the highest of the three on one ballot, and Virginia Tech was ranked higher than South Carolina.
- Washington was ranked higher that Southern Cal on one ballot.
- Georgia Tech was tied with Arizona State, but the Yellow Jackets have one loss compared to the Sun Devils' two.
