Tony Kibler Dismissed From USF Football Team

In somewhat expected news, Skip Holtz announced on Sunday that redshirt freshman Tony Kibler has been dismissed from the football program. Kibler was arrested in late October for breaking into a dorm room of a "dissolved relationship" with a knife and was charged with armed burglary of a dwelling, improper exhibition of a weapon on school grounds, and criminal mischief.

Kibler was a reserve offensive lineman who played at guard in the Ball State and Florida A&M games and was used on various special team units. Before his arrest, Kibler was seen as the favorite to replace Jeremiah Warren at left guard next season.

According to Greg Auman at the St. Petersburg Times, Kibler was arraigned last Thursday and has his first court date set for next January.
