Hot off the presses from USF* -- softball coach Ken Eriksen will be suspended for Thursday's Big East tournament quarterfinal against Louisville as a result of whatever happened that led to Sunday's forfeit at DePaul.** USF's statement says this is an NCAA-mandated suspension. The Tribune's Adam Adkins figured out that this was supposed to be a two-game suspension, but the conference has the right to reduce it and did.
It's unclear whether any other punishments are being meted out beyond that (for instance, to DePaul's coach Eugene Lenti). Stacey Heintz will coach Thursday's game. I guess Eriksen comes back for Friday's semifinal and Saturday's championship game if they can beat the host school in the single-elimination tournament.

* - Actually, this was important enough to be announced at 10:30pm last night, after alerting the media that there would be some kind of news in advance. This was not exactly "Bin Laden is dead" level news, though.
** - USF apparently does not plan to send out any further news on this incident. So... does that mean the rumors are true? Or do they just become true?
