Fantastic new breaking out tonight as former University of Florida WR Chris Dunkley will transfer to USF. Adam Silverstein from OnlyGators.com reported the news first and this will be a huge boost to a wide receiver corps that is becoming one of the best in the Big East.

The 5-star recruit out of Pahokee, FL redshirted in his only season at Gainesville, hampered by a hamstring injury that kept him sidelined for most of the season. He was suspended from the football team by Will Muschamp for Spring Practice due to academics, but looks like he has the grades necessary to come to Tampa and play for Coach Holtz.

With the greyshirting of incoming WR Alex Mut and QB Jamius Gunsby transferring to the Georgia Military College, it opened up a couple of scholarships for Coach Holtz to use on a few transfers, and it worked out perfectly for Chris to attend USF.

Dunkley will have to sit out this upcoming season due to NCAA transfer rules, but will still have three years of eligibility left starting in 2012.

Welcome to the USF family Chris!
