This has already been an interesting recruiting season so far for Coach Skip Holtz, and today has been no different. First, Laura McKeeman from Scout.com gave us this bit of news about now former commit Ryan Brown,
#MissSt adds another commitment (like I hinted at earlier). It's former USF commit 3-star DE Ryan Brown. Check Scout.com for more!
Scout has already updated Brown's profile to show the change as well. As this stage in the recruiting process, you can't fault a player for switching schools. Maybe Brown just jumped at the first offer and didn't really go through the process, but its a rising SEC school who is close to home for his parents to watch. Wish Brown the best, and hope he does well for the Bulldogs if that's where he ends up.
Shortly after the Brown switch, Tampa Tribune writer Adam Adkins tweeted that Ft. Lauderdale University DE Daniel Perry has committed to the Bulls. The 6'7 220 lb Perry is a 3-Star recruit according to Rivals chose USF over offers from Oregon, Buffalo, and Western Michigan.
Perry had a solid season for University, where he had 87 tackles, 3 sacks, and an interception last year. From looking at his highlight tape, Perry is able to get off of his blocks well with his long reach, and quickly moves down the line tracking the play. Perry will continue to follow the play even 20-30 yards down the field and has been on occasion able to track people down.
With his size, I wonder if he will want to play basketball too? Voodoo joked that we just recruited Ron Anderson Jr. for football.
We have Daniel's highlight video after the jump. Welcome to USF Daniel!
