Today we focus on the man charged with replacing the bell cow from last year's offensive line.

#66 C Kevin McCaskill

5th Year Senior, 6'0", 315 lbs.

Which McCaskill Is This? Kevin plays center, and his brother Keith plays defensive tackle. When the team scrimmages, the two of them line up directly across from each other. Also Kevin is older. Glad we could clear all that up. Moving along.

Stats in 2010: Kevin played in seven games last season as a substitute for starter Sampson Genus. His biggest game came against Miami when he came in for an injured Genus (around the same time Bobby Eveld entered the game) and played extremely well in the Bulls' overtime win.

Current Spot On Depth Chart: McCaskill is listed as the starting center on the post-spring depth chart.

How He Got To USF: Kevin came to USF from Godby High School in Tallahassee, but had to wait until January 2007 to enroll when he received a qualifying test score. (Note from Voodoo: This is how idiots like me get confused and think they're twins because Kevin and Keith both fifth-year seniors.) McCaskill chose USF over schools like Illinois, Louisville, and Ole Miss.

Recruiting Ranks: McCaskill was listed as a three-star recruit by both Rivals and Scout. Rivals listed Kevin as the 13th best center prospect in the country for the class of 2006.

Projected Playing Time in 2011: After sitting behind Sampson Genus for the past two years, McCaskill is ready to have his chance at center. Unless something crazy happens, expect to see McCaskill a lot this year as one of the team leaders on the offensive line.
