Stampeding Through The Roster: #19 CB Kenneth Durden

In our 2nd entry today, we meet a true freshman trying who is primed to earn some playing time in his first season at USF.

#19 Kenneth Durden

Freshman, 6'0" 176 lbs.

Stats In 2010: Durden was still in high school, so Kenneth didn't accumulate any stats last year for the Bulls.

Current Position On Depth Chart: Was not listed on the post-spring two-deep because he wasn't at USF.

How He Came To USF: Durden comes to USF via powerhouse Lowndes High School in Valdosta, Georgia. Durden has a solid senior season for the Vikings, netting 40 tackles, 3 interceptions, and 15 PBU. For his efforts, Durden was named to the All-State Team. Durden chose USF over offers from Louisville, Mississippi State, Cincinnati, and UCF among others.

Recruiting Rankings: Durden was rated as a 3-Star recruit by both Rivals and Scout, who had Kenneth as the 74th best CB prospect in the Class of 2011.

Projected Playing Time In 2011: While Skip almost always likes to redshirt his incoming freshmen, Skip will almost certainly send Durden out on the field. Durden has been singled out as someone who might play this season, and he has certainly backed up those comments with a strong fall camp. While he won't start, I would almost certainly expect to see Durden in the rotation this season and competing with George Baker and Ernie Tabuteau at the nickelback spot.
