USF Center Jordan Omogbehin Heading To Prep School

Who knew that news broke at 1:30 in the morning? According to Adam Adkins of the Tampa Tribune, USF C Jordan Omogbehin lost his appeal to play for Coach Heath and the USF basketball team and will enroll at Faith Baptist in Brandon so he can attain the necessary test scores to gain his NCAA eligibility.

Greg Auman told us that this might be a possibility a couple of weeks ago, so this isn't a big surprise. With Ron Anderson Jr. and Andre Jackson ahead of Omogbehin, I wasn't expecting Jordan to receive a lot of playing time. However, missing at least a semester of practice time and getting acclimated to the new system will be a hindrance the Nigerian's development.

The good news is that Jordan might be back in time for the spring semester, which would be great. At that point would be redshirted and would still have four years of eligibility remaining.
